7. You will be entitled to half salary from the date of your embarkation from this country, and to full salary from the date of your arrival in the Colony. In the event of your appointment being cancelled, you will not be entitled to any leave of absence or pay after the date of the letter by which the cancellation is notified to you, unless the Governor, subject to the approval of the Secretary of State, shall grant it on special

grounds.
